brown recluse (M.V.)

The brown recluse also know as Loxosceles reclusa it is a very dangerous spider. This arachnid has some pretty powerful venom that kill living tissue. If you don't know what this little spider looks like I can tell you. He has long thin legs, an oval-shaped abdomen, a light tan to dark brown color, a very distinctive violin-shaped mark on the back, and six eyes. He lives in warm climate places so he can pop up even in your own home.

Tarantulas (N.B.)

I think it's really cool that tarantulas are important in life. They keep all of those tiny, annoying bugs away by hunting around people's houses. Another cool thing is that they're different from all other spiders. Their fangs move up and down, and, unlike other spiders, their legs can stretch out to 6 inches. They're hairy, and their bite is only comparable to a wasp sting. They're different from other spiders in these ways... They use two sets of book-lungs to breathe, they have two claws and two adhesive pads on each foot.

Golden Rod Spiders (W.S.)

(done on paper)

max's wolf spider (M.C.)

Wolf spiders are beast. They don't have webs and their bites aren't deadly. They usually live in houses by doors windows kitchens and basement in the winter. If you get bit the effects are minor and will just cause swelling dizziness and nausea. They are really hairy.

jumping spiders (K.H.)

I think it's really interesting that something so small can jump so far. They use a silk string to jump from place to place. They can jump ten to forty times its body length. Its regular body legnth is about a half inch long, and that is supposedly the biggest kind there is! Jumping spiders are carnivores like most other arachnids. They eat most garden bugs except ants. There are over 4000 different kind of jumping spiders and more than 300 have been found in the U.S. Many of them are brightly colored and have interesting patterns. It can actually identify its prey from up to 12 inches away which is very good for a jumping spider because it's so small. Jumping spiders have 8 eyes. There are four large ones on the top and four small ones above the larger ones. Imagine having eight eyes. because of the many eyes they have, they are said to have great vision. Jumping spider can probably jump so far because their muscles contract quickly which helps the legs extend faster. In my opinion, I think jumping spiders are one of the coolest type of arachnids.

Trap door spiders (P.C.)

Trap Door spiders live in burrows under the ground, so when there prey, like mice, come above there, they here vibration then they pop up under the ground and eat them.
They make a entrance for their burrow which is really cool. And their predator is a wasp because they can sting them. There only way to hide is in there burrow. They also make the burrows with soil and leafs to cover it.
