Habitat:They live in warm regions mainly in the southwest part of America.
Description:They are a shiny looking black color with a little red on their backs and they have very long legs.
Food: They prey on many types of bugs such as beetles and cockroaches. It pokes a hole in its prey and sucks liquid out of it.
Breeding:After mating the female almost every time eats the male. When it lays its eggs, 1 to 12 survive.
Behavior: They spin very weird shaped webs that are stranger than most spiders webs. They will bite you if you mess with their webs.
Fun Facts:They are considered the most venomous spiders in all of North America. They are not usually deadly especially to human adults. The female usually hangs on its web with its belly up. Their venom is 15 times more deadly than a prarie rattlesnake.
